Bodo Balsys was born in Germany in 1949. His family emigrated to Australia whilst he was a child, and he subsequently gained Australian citizenship. He was first awakened to the dharma by the appearance of an enlightened Teacher in his third eye when he was eighteen. This is the consequence of spiritual accomplishments achieved in past lives. Each life being sequenced as part of a progressive educational outpouring for the liberation of the all. Bodo has been writing and teaching various aspects of the dharma since the early 1970’s, during which time he also earned a living as an artist. In 1988-9 he published a series of books (The Revelation, in three volumes, plus Divine Causation) concerned with explaining various esoteric subjects. In 1996 he gained a degree in science from the University of Western Sydney. He is currently teaching at the Maitreya Sangha Dharma Centre (near Sydney), which he established.

Maitreya Sangha Dharma Centre currently hosts Venerable Lobsang Niendak an ordained Tibetan Lama.

Ven. Lobsang Niendak was ordained into the Tibetan Buddhist tradition at the age of 12 at which time he began his monastic training. This consisted of studies in Buddhist prayer and ritual as well as Tibetan Grammar, Tibetan History, Memorisation of Root Buddhist texts, Buddhist Psychology and Buddhist Logic. When he was 18 years of age he began studying in Dharamshala at the renowned Buddhist Dialectic School set up by H.H. Dalai Lama. After 9 years of study he completed his Bachelor of Buddhist Philosophy, a highly comprehensive study of all schools of Tibetan Buddhist philosophy. Ven. Lobsang Niendak has since been teaching in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. His genuine wish to relieve sentient beings from suffering through teaching the Dharma radiates from his gentle, serene mind.
